Priority Advising for Registration

PRIORITY ADVISING and PRIORITY REGISTRATION refers to the three-week period during autumn and spring semesters when students meet with their advisors and register for classes. On the CYBERBEAR login page located on the right side of the screen is a hotlink entitled, “Important Dates.”

The first week of priority advising is devoted to advising; registration on Cyberbear occurs during the second and third weeks of priority while advising continues. The registration schedule is prioritized by class standing and alphabetically rotated within the registration period. The registration schedule can also be found through the A-Z Index on the Cyberbear home page under ‘Registration Times.’

Advising is a continual process that centers around Priority Advising but should be utilized by students consistently throughout their academic careers to ensure successful completion of a degree.
