  • Refer to your “Orientation Schedule” for academic advising appointments and other general orientation activities on Thursday during the day.

Friday, January 21

  • Refer to your “Orientation Schedule” for academic advising appointments and other general orientation activities on Friday during the day.

Please note:

  • 2:00 – 3:00 PM Foreign Student Orientation to the services available in UM’s library. & repeated again.
    Meet in the Lobby of the Mansfield Library at 2:00 P.M. sharp
  • 3:00 – 4:00 PM

Saturday, January 22

Meet at: International House, 659 South 5th East

11:00 – 3:30 PM Shopping Trips for the essentials you need to get started!

  • The orientation assistants will take you to a convenient shopping area with several types of stores, including one large department store that has everything you need – Target.  There is also a grocery store nearby and fast food restaurants.
  • (Lewis and Clark Students will be picked up from Lewis and Clark – see your pick-up schedule.)
  • Departure times from the International House: 11 AM and 1 pm.
  • Return times from designated meeting place: 2:00; 4:00; and 5:00 PM
  • It is your responsibility to catch the last shuttle.  If you miss it, you may need to take a taxi back to campus, as it is quite far to walk.

Sunday, January 23

2:30 – 4:00 PM Introduction to your Global Partner with Dinner

UM Global Partners Program

  • If you signed up for the Global Partners Program, this is where you will meet your partner!
  • This is a mandatory meeting for foreign students who signed up for the partner program.  Please meet promptly at 2:30 PM.
  • An informal reception with a pizza lunch (vegetarian and meat options available) for Global Partners and their foreign students will follow the introductions.
