International Orientation Schedule: Wednesday, January 19


Please consult with the Academic Orientation Schedule today as well for other meetings and events for new student orientation!!

9:00 AM
Immigration Regulations and Student Benefits for F-1 and J-1 visa holders (including maintaining legal status, work authorizations, transfers, etc.)
Place:  University Center (UC Building), 3rd Floor, Rooms 330-331

Security and Safety Tips ;  & Driver’s Licensing

Shuttle-van Service to Downtown Banks

12 noon
For rides to downtown banks, meet at the Foreign Student & Scholar Service’s front lounge at the following times:

  • 10:45 A.M.
  • 11:15 A.M.
  • 12:00 A.M.

The van will also pick you up downtown and bring you back

Bring passport & I-20’s or DS-2019’s for this meeting.  Return “gold” personal data form and blue questionnaire.

Please Come According to this Schedule:

  • 2:00 – 3:00 PM:  Blue and Green Folder Holders
  • 3:00 – 4:00 PM:  Red and Yellow Folder Holders

4:30 – 5:30 PM
Orientation and Sign-Up for UM Global Partners Program
Place:  Lommasson Center 226 (down the hall from FSSS)

Come find out more about this program.  This meeting is mandatory for those wishing to participate.

5:45-6:45 PM
Dinner Service at International House.
Cost $8

Dinner (Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian Asian Dishes) will be catered by a popular local restaurant so you can grab a quick meal, as there is no meal service on campus tonight.   Cost of dinner will be $8 and pre-sign up will be required. Sign up at 9 am session this morning or  at FSSS office by noon.  After dinner, proceed to 7 pm meeting  if interested in MIFP (see below). Shuttles back to Lewis and Clark depart from  I-House  at 7 pm, and again after MIFP event  from University Center 330.

7:00 PM
Orientation and Sign-Up for MIFP:  Missoula International Friendship
Program (“Community Friends”).  Rides home will be provided to those living off-campus.

This is a meeting for students wishing to find out more about being matched with a Community Friend. This meeting is mandatory to join the program.
